FOCUS (Foundation of Caring, Understanding, and Services) was formed as a 501(c)3 Nonprofit by a Grass Roots group consisting of members from Upton, Osage and Newcastle in 1983. They recognized a need for local help for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking situations.
FOCUS proudly serves all of Weston County, including the towns of Newcastle, Upton, and Osage.
Our mission statement:
"The mission of FOCUS is to advocate for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking through supporting survivors, raising awareness, educating the community, empowering individuals, and providing a safe and confidential environment for men and women to access information, resources, and guidance regarding domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking."
