Foundations of Caring, Understanding and Services (FOCUS) was formed as a 501(c)3 Nonprofit by a Grass Roots group consisting of members from Upton, Osage and Newcastle in 1983.  They recognized a need for local help for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking situations.  Our mission statement is, "To provide services including safety, shelter, education, emergency funds and advocacy support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking to persons in Weston County."

The FOCUS office is located in Newcastle, the county seat http://newcastlewyo.com/newc/ .  It has had a few different office locations but has served victims in Weston County without fail for over 25 years.  FOCUS is governed by a board of directors and managed by an executive director and staff.

FOCUS relies heavily on trained volunteer advocates that man the 24/7 on call schedule along with staff members.  There are also many volunteers that assist with different aspects of FOCUS operations that are just as invaluable.
